Introduction
Established in the state of Gujarat in India in 2009 by the Ahmedabad Education Society, Ahmedabad University is a non-profit, University type for higher education. The university has its affiliation from UGC and NAAC Grade 'B'.It offers opportunities for research in multiple fields through its three schools and seven research centers. Students at Ahmedabad University receive a liberal education that places an emphasis on research and education that spans a variety of disciplines.
The Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), an educational trust that does not make a profit and is based in Ahmedabad, is the organization that is responsible for supporting Ahmedabad University. A substantial contribution from AES and its leaders was made to the establishment of a number of national institutions, including the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, the National Institute of Design, the Physical Research Laboratory, and CEPT University. Additionally, it is the Trust's duty to provide financial assistance to educational institutions such as the AG Teacher's College, the LD Institute of Indology, the MG College of Science, the LD College of Arts, the HL College of Commerce, the LM College of Pharmacy, and others.
Amrut Mody School of Management is one of the Schools that make up Ahmedabad University. In 2009, the HL Institute of Commerce and the B K Majmudar Institute of Business Administration were merged into one single school.

The campus of Ahmedabad University can be found in the Navrangpura neighborhood of Ahmedabad city, which is often referred to as the "University area" by locals. The Ahmedabad Education Society has a total of 250 acres, of which the Ahmedabad University occupies a portion (AES). During the first phase of its development, about sixty acres will be set aside for the construction of academic buildings and student facilities.
HCP Design and Project Management Pvt. Ltd., located in Ahmedabad, is in charge of the master planning for the institution. VKRV Rao was a prominent Indian economist, politician, and educator. He was also a former Principal of H L Commerce College, which is one of the Colleges that are administered by Ahmedabad Education Society. The building in which the office of the Vice Chancellor is located previously served as the residence of VKRV Rao (AES).

Admission
When determining who is allowed to enroll in any of the university's classes, the institution uses a comprehensive screening procedure for several courses. The SAT score is taken into consideration for UG courses. Students may submit their applications for Engineering either via the ACPC procedure of the Gujarat Government or by using their scores from the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. A student must legally call the Indian state of Gujarat home in order to use the first method of admission to the institution.
Students who do not have their primary residence in Gujarat but have taken and passed the JEE may apply. At the conclusion of the academic year 2018–19, Ahmedabad University had a total of 3014 students enrolled in the undergraduate program, 146 students enrolled in the graduate program, and 44 students enrolled in the PhD program. The total number of students currently enrolled in classes is 3204.
The institution has both need-based and merit-based scholarships available as part of its financial assistance program. Scholarships awarded on the basis of financial need might pay all or a portion of a student's education expenses, relieving them of some of their financial burden including tuition and study materials, hostel, and mess charges. In addition, there are Merit Scholarships that are given out to students in acknowledgment of their academic accomplishments.
