B.Tech Civil Engineering under the Work Related Learning Program (WILP) is a lateral entry program. It is of 3 to 3.5 years duration course with 6 to 7 semesters. The course emphasizes the application of maths, physics, and civil science to develop infrastructure. Through practical classes and lectures, the applicants are given a thorough knowledge of civil engineering. Civil Engineering mainly deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works. The general work includes roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.

The course is conducted either on weekends or in the evening hours. The curriculum includes subjects like Building Materials, Construction, Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Economics, Soil Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Environmental, Hydrology, Water Resource Engineering, Designing Concrete and Steel Structure, etc. The course fee ranges from Rs 2 lacs to 3 lacs approximately.
