Introduction

Computer science and engineering (CSE) is a program which comprises approaches of computer science and computer engineering. This course is one of the most chosen courses in the field of engineering. Under WILP, the course is specially designed by industry experts to enable working professionals to pursue study along with work. It is a 3 to 3.5-year UG course. It covers fundamental theoretical concepts and provides practical knowledge related to the field of work. The course covers subjects like computer networks, artificial intelligence, analogue and digital communication, database management systems, computer architecture and organization, etc.

The classes are conducted either on weekends or in the evening. The lectures are conducted usually by faculty members and industry experts. The projects in final year enables the working professionals to apply concepts and techniques learned during the course.

The Work Related Learning Program (WILP) is an initiative taken up by many colleges that seek to offer higher education to working professionals through correspondence while continuing their work. It is a way to complete technical education while continuing work.

Admission Process for B.Tech Computer Science Engineering

The admission process is conducted in online mode in many colleges/universities. Working professionals don’t have to take any entrance exam for admission.

The Process of application –

• Step 1 Create the login ID and password on the official website of the desired college/university

• Step 2 Fill out the application form available on the website of the desired college/university

• Step 2 Payment of application fee

• Step 4 Take a printout of the application form

Once the working professionals are selected, the college/university will send the enrollment number and confirmation of admission over mail.

The course curriculum is divided into 6 to 7 semesters, depending on the duration. The last semester consists of project work. Some of the major subjects included are Electrical & Electronics Technology, Calculus, Engineering Materials, Computer Programming, Management Information Systems, Mechatronics & Automation, artificial intelligence, analogue and digital communication, database management systems, computer architecture and organization, etc.
