Mangalayatan University To Provide Free Education To 350 Underprivileged Girls
Uttar Pradesh: Mangalayatan University Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, announces free education to 350 underprivileged girls. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. PK Dashora, while interacting with the media, shared that admission will be given based on an entrance exam conducted and considering aspects like merit and financial condition. The free education will be imparted on 27 courses.
According to the report shared by the university on its official website, only the exam fee, transportation fee, and hostel fee will be charged. The university will have to bear 5 cores yearly to provide free education to these female students. Help from NGOs and businessmen are being taken to fulfill the initiative.
Providing free education to girls helps in bridging the gender gap in education. It ensures that girls have equal opportunities to access quality education, empowering them to pursue their aspirations and contribute to society on an equal footing with boys. Education is a powerful tool for poverty alleviation. When girls receive free education, they are better equipped to break the cycle of poverty in their families and communities.
Manglayatan University is a private university established in 2006 and recognized by UGC. Its campus is located in the city of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
