Mangalayatan University: UGC Officially Recognizes To Provide Science Courses Via Distance Learning

Uttar Pradesh: The University Grants Commission (UGC) officially recognized Mangalayatan University as a University that provides science courses via distance learning. With this, it became the first private institution in the state of Uttar Pradesh to receive such recognition.

During the media interaction, Director Prof. Masood Parvez shared that UGC has also granted recognition to BSc Zoology, BSc Biology, BSc Chemistry, BSc Physics, BSc Chemistry, BSc Mathematics, Bachelor of Library and Information (BLIS), and Master of Library and Information (MLIS). Prof Parvez further added that BSc classes will be held online. Only for practical classes do the students need to come to campus.

A meeting was held in the Vice-Chancellor’s Auditorium. Vice-Chancellor Prof. PK Dashora, Controller of Examinations Prof. Dinesh Sharma, and Registrar Brigadier Samarveer Singh expressed their gratitude for the award during the meeting. Prof. PK Dashora said the university aims to provide quality higher education to students who stay far away and want to pursue distance education.

Distance education refers to a mode of education where students and instructors are separated by physical distance. It offers several advantages, including flexibility for students who may have work or family commitments, accessibility for learners in remote areas, and the ability to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Manglayatan University is a private university established in 2006 and recognized by UGC. Its campus is located in the city of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The university offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various fields, including engineering, management, law, pharmacy, education, etc.
