Introduction

Admission
The submission of an online application to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is mandatory for admission to constituent and affiliated colleges through counseling and management quota. During the online application process, the candidates need to pay the prescribed application fee. The submission of scanned copies of relevant academic certificates and other required documents is mandatory. TNAU admissions to undergraduate courses are primarily based on the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates are called for a counseling session where they are allotted seats based on their merit rank and preference.
Once the candidates are admitted through counseling and management quota in the affiliated colleges, they are required to pay an all-inclusive annual tuition fee. TNAU conducts an entrance examination for admission to postgraduate courses. Based on the performance in the entrance exam and interview, a merit list is prepared, and candidates are called for counseling. Admissions to the PhD courses are also based on entrance examination. The final selection is based on the combined performance of the entrance exam, interview, and evaluation of the research proposal.
