Admission

AIIMS paramedical admission is made entirely on the basis of the performance of candidates at the entrance examination conducted by the institute. Every year, the institute, on its official website, releases notices for applications, the conduct of the entrance exam, admission, etc. The candidates need to save and download a print of all registration processes and retain copies of all registration processes until the completion of the admissions process. The seats are filled strictly on merit on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates at the entrance examination conducted by the institute.

AIIMS paramedical eligibility

• The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
• The candidate must have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as of the 31st of December of the year of admission.
• The candidate must have passed the 12th grade under the 10+2 scheme.

Application Process

AIIMS follows an online application process. The candidates seeking admission are required to submit their application in the prescribed format available online with the prospectus on the official website. The registration form includes the fee for the entrance examination, which is non-refundable. During the process of online application, the candidates need to pay the fee online. Duplicate applications from any candidate result in the cancellation of all such applications. Acknowledgement with regard to successful online registration is forwarded to the applicant's email ID. Entrance Exam

The AIIMS paramedical entrance exam is conducted in English and Hindi. One paper of 1½ hours duration and consisting of objective-type (multiple-choice) questions in four parts of 30 questions each in the subjects of physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. The candidate may either attempt the biology part or the mathematics part.

Selection Process

Based on the results of the entrance examination, separate merit lists are prepared for the General, OBC (NCL), EWS, Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe categories. The candidates need to achieve the minimum percentage criteria in the entrance exam. The candidates, in order of merit, need to exercise their choice of subject according to AIIMS paramedical seat availability.

Once the merit list is announced, the candidates whose names are on the list are called for interviews. Admissions are made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by candidates in the entrance exam and interview. The allocation of disciplines is based on merit and online seat allocation in each category. The order of online seat allocation is General/EWS/OBC (NCL)/SC/ST. Various rounds of interviews are conducted until the seats are filled.
