Introduction

King George's Medical University (KGMU) is a hospital, and medical university located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1905, it was originally known as King George's Medical College and was affiliated with the University of Lucknow. In 2002, it attained the status of a medical university and was renamed King George's Medical University. It is the only government medical institution to have been awarded the NAAC A+ grade in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
