Introduction

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a public central university located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan founded it as the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875, and it became a university in 1920. The university offers courses in thirteen faculties. AMU offers more than 300 courses in both traditional and modern branches of education, including paramedical courses.
