Admission

Admissions to nursing courses at AIIMS Patna follow a centralized process. AIIMS Delhi conducts the admission process and releases the admission details prior to the commencement of the admission process.

The following are the AIIMS Patna nursing eligibility

AIIMS Patna BSc Course

• The applicant should be an Indian citizen.
• The applicant must be 17 by December 31 of the year of admission.
• The applicant must have passed the 12th grade under the 10+2 scheme, Senior School Certificate Examination, Intermediate Science, or an equivalent examination from a recognized university or board of any Indian state with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

AIIMS Patna MSc Course

• The applicant must have completed a BSc (Hons.) Nursing, BSc Nursing (Post-Certificate), Post-Basic, or BSc Nursing (4 years) course from any recognized university, from an educational institution recognized by the State Nursing Council, with 60% marks for General, OBC (NCL), and EWS candidates, and 55% marks for SC and ST candidates.
• The applicant must be registered as a nurse, RN, or RM (registered nurse, registered midwife) with any state nursing council.

AIIMS Patna Nursing Application Process

The nursing application process is online for both UG and PG-level courses. Once the applicants apply, the institute sends a status update on basic registration. The applicants have the option to correct any deficiencies in their application, which they need to correct within the dates provided for correction. The institute determines the final status of basic registration.

A code for final registration is generated. Only those who have generated a code for final registration can proceed with the final registration process, which includes paying fees and choosing a city. The final status of the application is uploaded. If the application is rejected, then the reason for the rejection is also uploaded. During the application process, applicants must upload the required documents and pay the application fee.

AIIMS Patna Nursing Admission Process

Admission to UG and PG courses is made entirely on the basis of the performance of applicants at the entrance exam conducted by AIIMS Delhi. All major cities in India conduct the UG entrance exam. Only Delhi/NCR conducts the entrance exam for PG courses. Once the applicants clear the AIIMS Patna nursing entrance exam, the counseling process begins. Various rounds of counseling are conducted until the seats are filled.
