Introduction

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) was established at Faridkot under an Act of the Punjab State Legislature in the name of the great Sufi Saint Sheikh Farid Ganj-e-Shakar in 1998. The main purpose was to assist, teach, and ensure proper and systematic instruction, training, and research in modern systems of medicine and Indian systems of medicine. It is not only an affiliating and examining body but also a teaching and research centre in the health sciences.

The university offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the healthcare domain, which includes nursing courses as well. Admission

BFUHS Nursing Eligibility

BSc Nursing

• The candidates must be 10+2 qualified with subjects in physics, chemistry, biology, and English from a recognized university.
• The candidates must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31st of the admitting year.

BSc Nursing Post Basic

• The candidates must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31st of the admitting year.
• The candidates should have passed the GNM Nursing exam and should be registered nurses and registered midwives with any state nursing registration council.

MSc Nursing

• Candidates must have passed BSc Nursing or Post Basic Nursing with one year of experience.

Entrance Exam

Counselling

Once the results are declared, the counseling process is conducted for Baba Farid University nursing programs. A merit list is released based on the scores received in the entrance exam.
