Introduction

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Rishikesh) is one of India's premier medical institutes, established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The institute was inaugurated in 2012. The main goal was to reduce regional imbalances in the availability of affordable and reliable tertiary healthcare services, as well as increase facilities for quality medical education in the country.

The college offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in the healthcare domain, including nursing. The AIIMS Rishikesh nursing courses are imparted through the College of Nursing, which was started in 2013 with BSc (Hon.) Nursing as a course. The vision was to produce highly competent nurse clinicians, advanced nurse practitioners, nurse educators, nurse administrators, and nurse researchers to meet regional, national, and global nursing human resource needs. BSc Course

• The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
• The candidate should have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as of the 31st of December of the year of admission.
• The candidates must have passed the 12th grade under the 10+2 scheme, Senior School Certificate Examination, Intermediate Science, or an equivalent examination from a recognised university or board of any Indian state with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

MSc Course

• BSc (Hons.) Nursing/BSc Nursing (Post-Certificate)/Post-Basic/BSc Nursing (4 years) course from any recognized university, from an educational institution recognised by the State Nursing Council, with 60% marks for Gen/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates (55% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates).
• Registration as a nurse, RN, or RM (registered nurse, registered midwife) with any state nursing council.

AIIMS Rishikesh nursing application process

The application process is an online application for both UG and PG-level courses at AIIMS Rishikesh. Once the candidate applies, the institute sends a status update on basic registration. The students have the option to correct any deficiencies in their application, which they can do within the dates provided for correction.

The institute determines the final status of basic registration. A code for final registration is generated. Only those who have generated a code for final registration can proceed with the final registration process for nursing programs at AIIMS Rishikesh, which includes paying fees and choosing a city. The final status of the application will be uploaded by the institute. If the application is rejected, then the reason for the rejection is also uploaded.
