Introduction

Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust established Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) in 1985. The institution's objective is to raise and develop the facility to a level comparable to any major medical establishment in advanced countries.

The college imparts various courses, which include medical, dental, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, allied health sciences, management sciences, biomedical sciences & technology, public health, sports & exercise sciences, engineering & technology, audiology and speech language pathology, occupational therapy, and behavioral & social sciences. The nursing admission SRIHER includes the following steps -

Eligibility

B.Sc. Nursing

    • Candidate who has passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) with the science stream and has obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together and passed in English individually.
    • English should be a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
    • Candidates from State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government having Science subjects and English only are also eligible.
    • Married candidates are also eligible for admission.
    • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the admitting year.

B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic)

    • Should have qualified in the Diploma in Nursing, awarded by a recognized institution, and registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery. The candidate should also register with the Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council.
    • After GNM with the registration certificate from the State Nursing Council, the candidate may be permitted to join a B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) course without work experience.
    • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the admitting year.

M.Sc. Nursing

    • Candidates must have a B.Sc. Nursing degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
    • Candidates must have a minimum of one year of work experience post-B.Sc. Nursing.

Application

    • For SRIHER nursing courses, application forms are available online only at the official website. The candidates need to fill out the form online.
    • Candidates must pay the registration fee when completing the online application form.
    • Candidates need to upload the scanned copies of the necessary documents.
    • All entrance/interview-related communications are sent through the Application Portal only.

Hall ticket

    • Entrance examination hall tickets can be downloaded by all eligible candidates from the entrance examination application portal.
    • The hall ticket must be produced by the candidates at the entrance examination centre.
    • The all India entrance examination is conducted by the institute for admission purposes.

Admission

    • For nursing education at SRIHER, selections are made on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the entrance examination.
    • Intimation letters are sent by email to the candidates provisionally selected for admission.
    • In the case of candidates who secure the same marks in the entrance examination, rankings are made based on their academic performance in the qualifying examination prescribed for admission.
    • All admissions are subject to fulfillment of all the prescribed eligibility conditions by the candidate.
    • Verification of original certificates is made at the time of admission.
    • Every student needs to pay tuition fees and other fees as prescribed within the due date notified.
