Eligibility for nursing at ERA University

Diploma in Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (A.N.M)

• Applicants must be 17 years old by December 31st of the year they are seeking admission.
• The maximum age for admission is 30 years.
• The minimum educational requirement is passing 12 years of schooling (10 + 2 year course) recognized by CBSE/ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE or a recognized equivalent examination.
• The students from the National Institute of Open School with 10+2 Arts or Science examination can also apply.

Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M)

• 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board.
• Applicants from State Open School (State Government) and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) (Central Government) are also eligible to apply.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in the vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health Care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre.
• Registered ANM with a pass mark.

B.Sc. in Nursing

• The applicant must be 17 years old on December 31st of the year they are seeking admissions.
• The maximum age limit for admission is 35 years.
• The applicants with a science background who has passed the qualifying 12th standard examination (10+2) must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together, and must have passed in English individually.
• Applicants are also eligible from State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having science subjects and English only.
• English is a compulsory subject in 10+2.

B.Sc. in P. B. Nursing –

• Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.
• Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.

M.Sc. in Child Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing

• The applicant should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
• The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
• The applicants should have undergone B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
• Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
• Minimum one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Ph.D. in Nursing –

• M.Sc./M.Phil. in Nursing with 60% marks.
