The Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) is widely regarded as one of the world's finest engineering schools. IIT Kharagpur B.Tech

The Bachelor of Technology programme at IIT Kharagpur received the fifth spot in the engineering category of the NIRF 2022 rankings. The ratio of students to teaching staff in this programme is 13 to 1. Regular students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Technology programme at IIT Kharagpur have the opportunity to convert to the Dual Degree Program after their third year of study

In addition, the institution provides BTech students with the opportunity to participate in a "Semester Away Program and Credit Transfer." Students participate in this by attending a university either in India or abroad for one or two semesters. IIT Kharagpur M.Tech

IIT Kharagpur's Master of Technology (MTech) programme offers students a choice between 47 different areas of concentration. The institution provides a Joint MTech/MCP-PhD programme in addition to the Master of Technology degree programme. The GATE test is the primary criterion used to determine admission to all MTech programmes. Students who did not participate in the GATE programme but had a cumulative grade point average of 8.0 were granted direct admission to the institution.

Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree from an IIT are also eligible for admission to the Master of Technology programme. The entire cost of participation in the programme is 4.60 Lacs Indian Rupees. After receiving their degrees, students who take part in the recruiting cycle and are offered jobs obtain a pay package that is, on average, INR 20 LPA.

IIT Kharagpur Scholarships

IIT Kharagpur helps students who are in need and have done well in college by providing financial assistance. Merit cum Means Scholarship

About 1,000 students get MCM scholarships from IIT Kharagpur every year based on their JEE rank and family income. Under this scholarship scheme, students who are enrolled in UG programmes at IITKGP can get their fees waived. The MCM scholarship will be renewed based on how well the student did in the last two semesters.

Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Full Scholarship

IIT Kharagpur gives India's first full-ride scholarship to the top 100 JEE Advanced Rankers whose parents' annual income is less than INR 20 lakhs. The scholarship pays for all of the B.Tech students' school costs at IIT Kharagpur.

SC/ST Scholarship Institute

This assistantship is set aside, especially for SC/ST students in the 2-year M.Sc. programme. Students whose parents' annual income is less than INR 50,920 are eligible for free hostel beds, a basic menu in the mess, and an INR 250 pocket money allowance every month

Endowment Scholarships

Through its endowment funds, the institute gives out several endowment scholarships.
