IIT Ropar – The 2nd Gen IIT

Introduction

The Institute of Technology at Ropar (IIT Ropar) is one of the new IITs that were founded as a result of "The Institutes Technology (Amendment) Act." According to the NIRF 2022, the institute's engineering programme comes in at position number 22. Eleven academic departments, one interdisciplinary centre, and one DST Technology Innovation Hub are all part of the institution.

IIT Ropar began its operations from its transit site before moving them to its current location on Birla Seed Farms in Rupnagar, which is its permanent campus. IIT Ropar Courses

IIT Ropar's eleven departments combine to provide a total of four undergraduate, graduate, and research-level programmes for students to choose from. Degrees ranging from Bachelor of Technology to Doctor of Philosophy may be earned at IIT Ropar. The Bachelor of Technology degree is IIT Ropar's most prestigious offering, and it may be taken with one of seven distinct concentrations at the Undergraduate level. In addition to this, the institution provides a BTech-MTech dual degree programme in the mechanical engineering department for those who are interested.

IIT Ropar BTech

The institution provides a Bachelor of Technology degree that may be completed entirely on-campus, and it has space for 370 students. The Postgraduate Certificate programme in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning is another option available to students at IIT Ropar.

The postgraduate certificate programme may be completed entirely online and takes place over nine months. To be eligible to apply for the PG Certificate programme, candidates need to have a bachelor's degree with an aggregate mark of at least 50% and 2 years of relevant professional experience. For its PG Certificate programme, IIT Ropar levies a price of INR 2,50,000, which does not include the applicable GST taxes.

Students who enrol at this school have access to a comprehensive selection of different forms of financial assistance.
